UV monitoring network
In 1993 the BfS and UBA (Umweltbundesamt: Federal Environment Agency) started the operation of a network of solar radiation monitors based on four stations. In subsequent years the network has been extended to a nationwide network of solar radiation monitoring stations in cooperation with the DWD (Deutscher Wetterdienst: Germany’s National Meteorological Service) and other associated institutions.
