Radiation protection in medicine: international activities

The Federal Office for Radiation Protection is also engaged in international activities regarding improvement of radiation protection for patients and medical staff when applying ionising radiation in medicine.

IAEA conference

From 3 to 7 December 2012, the International Conference on Radiation Protection in Medicine was held in Bonn. The Conference was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and hosted by the Government of Germany through the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

Bonn Call-for-Action

From 3 to 7 December 2012, the International Conference on Radiation Protection in Medicine was held in Bonn. The Conference was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and hosted by the Government of Germany through the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). During the conference the "Bonn Call-for-Action" was developed.
