Voluntary commitment of the Mobile Network Operators
In December 2001 the Mobile Network Operators incurred a voluntary commitment towards the federal government. The aim of this commitment was the improvement of safety, consumer, environmental and health protection, information and confidence-building measures with respect to the upgrading of mobile telecommunication networks. Within this commitment a considerable research programme was conducted. The results are listed on the website of the German Telecommunication Research Programme (DMF). This commitment was updated in 2008 and 2012. The associated research programme that started in 2013 included knowledge management concerning the so far achieved results and risk communication.
