Two new measuring points around the Asse mine
With immediate effect, two new measuring points are available around the Asse mine to monitor environmental radioactivity. According to information provided by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS), the probes were installed within a radius of 25 km in the villages of Cremlingen-Schandelah, and Schöppenstedt.
You can call up the measured values in the Internet:
Nationwide, there are approximately 1,800 measuring points. The Federal Centre for the Monitoring of Radioactivity (ZdB) at BfS checks the data and then processes it in the form of tables for each measuring point. Thus, every citizen can catch up promptly on the current radiation exposure in the direct vicinity. Around the Asse mine, there have so far been measuring points in Kissenbrück, Wolfenbüttel, Ingeleben, Hornburg, Königslutter, and on the mine premises themselves.
