Examinations on Health Effects of TETRA
For the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) safety of the population and of the professional users is important. When the digital voice and data communication system for security authorities was set up and started to be operated health issues were a key aspect.
Since results of the German Mobile Telecommunication Research Programme (DMF) can only restrictedly be transferred to the TETRA radio system BfS concluded an agreement with the Federal Agency for Digital Radio of Security Authorities and Organisations (BDBOS) on a co-operation regarding health impact of BOS digital radio network. The implementation of research projects was the main focus of the agreement.
