Change of the chemistry of an influent solution of the Reichelt swamps
In one of the four so-called Reichelt swamps, the chemical composition of the salt solution has changed. The so-called Reichelt swamps are located on the 750-m level in the northeast of the mine openings at the edge of the carnallitite construction area. In that swamp it was observed that the concentration of magnesium sulphate was decreasing and the calcium sulphate increasing. The volume of the influent solution has not changed. The BfS evaluates the analyses results in particular with regard to its safety significance.
